Billycart Market tomorrow

Tomorrow is my first Billycart Market and I'm feeling pretty excited about it. I'm taking mainly my wall art and paper goods - I need to save up my felty things for July!

And it doesn't matter if it's raining because the market is inside! So if you're free tomorrow come and see me at the Lakes Parish Hall, 21 Lagoon Street, Narrabeen from 9am-3pm.

new notecards

I've recently bought some Alice in Wonderland graphics and I am just loving them. As a non-drawer who struggles even with stick figures I am so impressed by those who can put pen / pencil etc to paper and get something that looks, well, like something. recognisable. So hats off to all you clever drawing type people. You have my respect, admiration and awe.

Anyway enough about you. So with my lovely newfangled wish-I-drew-them-but-I-bought-them-instead-graphics I whipped up some little notecards today and I like them.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland...

Finders Keepers is holding a Winterland market throughout July at Carriageworks in Redfern.

Market days times are: Thursday & Friday evening 6pm – 10:30pm and Saturday 11am –10:30pm from 8th to 31st July.

The exciting news - for me at least - is that I'll be having a stall on the second weekend. So please pop by and say hello on the 15th, 16th, 17th July.

I will be selling my heartfelt range which includes lovely scarves, felty brooches and some little messy birds to cuddle.

This or that and jam drops

Mr Neat has taken Miss 9 and Mr 6 to the footy this afternoon leaving me and Mr 3 with the afternoon to ourselves.... I really should be tidying up this:

But instead Mr 3 and I made this:

What did you do today?

PS The Jam Drop recipe is:

180 g butter
180g raw sugar
2 egg yolks
300g plain flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
jam of choice

1. cream butter and sugar
2. add egg yolks
3. add flour, baking powder and vanilla (I usually add extra vanilla)
4. roll mixture into balls
5. place on trays lined with baking paper
6. make small indentation and fill little hole with jam
7. bake in preheated oven (about 180 degrees) for 10-15 minutes or until golden

farewell mosman

I'm not very good at making decisions and as I get older I seem to be getting worse. But yesterday I made one. As I soaked up the gorgeous sunshine and my feet soaked in the sodden grass I decided that I wouldn't "do" Mosman Markets any longer.

I have some lovely regular customers who are just gorgeous and there are some fabulous stallholders who are always fun to chat to but sadly it's just not worth the time and effort. So from now it's indoor all the way baby!

Next market for me is Billycart Market on Saturday June 26.

Location: Lakes Parish Hall, 21 Lagoon Street, Narrabeen NSW 2101

NB: $2 Entry fee per adult is charged at Billycart Markets. 100% of this is donated to the Starlight Childrens Foundation Australia.

I hope to see you there!
