Ok so I'm not the most sporty of people. Well I'm one of the least. I did go to a number of events back at the Sydney Games and thought it was fantastic. But I am rather depleted when it comes to sporting skills. Confessional aside, I thought I'd try and get in the spirit of the Olympics. (Are we allowed to use that word anymore or will the Brand Police be after me?!)It also gives me an excuse to put more red things on my blog!
What do you do when your kids have been sick and they start to feel better but aren't quite well enough to go back to school? You make cards, of course.
Thanks to everyone who prayed, phoned, texted, facebooked and dropped in! I feel very loved.
I participate in the Canberra Handmade market four times a year. It's an excellent market with a fabulous variety of quality, handmade goods. I usually stock up on presents throughout the year while I'm there!
And then there's the shop. It's like a mini-market place with all manner of loveliness. The shop recently featured in Inside Out magazine with a longer piece on their blog. Included was a picture of one of my scrabble pictures. Check it out here!
Old machines have such a peculiar appeal. Tolkien wasn't too keen on machinery and their dehumanising effects. But then he had lived through WWI... Maybe I just like buttons and dials.
